The dawn supplication (إبتهال الفجر) Ebtehal al fajer




الفجر يرسم بالضياء على المآذن الف هاله
the dawn drawing a thousned of halos around the minarets

والليل في وهن الرحيل يشد اطراف الغلاله
----

والنجم يبدو كالسراج تراقصت فيه الذباله
and the star appears as a lamp the wick dance inside

والصبح في ألق تنافس مد في زهو ظلاله
and the morning competed and spread his shadow in pride

والنور من كفيه شلال تدافق في عجاله
and the light flow in haste as a waterfall

هي آلة الخلق العظيم يسوقها المولى دلاله
It is a system of the Magnificent creations, as a sign of the lord

فيها تجلت قدرة الابداع في احلى مقاله
the creativeness manifested in most charming image

و الله اكبر .. تغمر الدنيا بأنوار الجلاله

"Allah akbar" cover the world by the majesty (Allah) light

والقلب وساعده الضياء فغاب عني في ابتهاله
and the heart left me to supplicate

ينساب في كنف الاماني كأنما النور استماله
as if the light draw him

والليل في وهن الرحيل يشد اطراف الغلاله
والنجم يبدو كالسراج تراقصت فيه الذباله
والصبح في ألق تنافس مد في زهو ظلاله
والنور من كفيه شلال تدافق في عجاله


طوبى لمن سمع النداء .. فشد للنجوى رحاله
blessedness for who hear the call and answerd

وجفى المضاجع واستقام بلا تراخ او كلاله
and abandon the bed without slackness and tiredness

صلى لرب العالمين مكبرا يرجو وصاله
he prayed hoping to communicate with the lord of the world

ودعى الكريم مناجيا .. مستغفرا يبغي مناله
and supplicat to the Generous one, seeking the forgiveness

من يسأل الله الكريم .. من يسأل الله الكريم
whoever asking the Generous Allah

من يسأل الله الكريم .. أجابه واراح باله
whoever asking the Generous Allah, Allah will answerd and relieve him
